I am A CNS in Pain Management for a large HMO with 18 sites. We have put in place a "Pain Management Agreement" system for ALL patients (unless specifically deemed not applicable by the PCP such as nursing home patients,etc), which has had tremendous benefits to our patients and the surrounding community, and I have not come across any patient who protests this uniformly applied system.
