Does anyone have copies of the laws from NM, NY, and CT that limit the liability of prescribers who write prescriptions for naloxone to be distributed through third parties (after documented education)? Many thanks!

If they had this to use all along, how come it hasn't been used or how come they haven't told anyone about it? this could have saved many lives here in Oregon. Who is it for if it isn't to save lives? I will never understand just having this little thing could have done alot of good at many of the methadone clinics in every STATE? Buprenorphine is a partial opioid agonist, whereas naloxone is a pure opioid antagonist -- the two work in completely opposite directions and are not interchangeable. Naloxone may not be available. Buprenorphine is apparently widely available on the street. Might this drug, administered SL or even rectally, be a safe and effective alternative with a much longer duration of action than naloxone? 911 operators could ask callers whether the drug is available and tell them how to use it.
